As reported in the news, Airbus suffers from competition from new satellite manufacturers (such as Starlink and Kupier). The company is also reported to face difficulties with its Onesat program and late deliveries. The restructuring programme is undertaken with a view to increase competitiveness and deal with internal and market pressures. The Airbus group employs over 50,000 staff in Germany.
