The airline Air Italy announced the beginning of the collective dismissal procedure for all its 1,400 employees. The government's commitment to finance extraordinary shock absorbers was not considered enough by the liquidators of the Sardinian-Qatari airline, currently bankrupted, to postpone their initial plan, that is to liquidate the company and dismiss all its employees.
The negotiations foreseen by the collective dismissal procedure started in Olbia.
Air Italy's liquidators are currently evaluating at least three offers aiming to acquire some parts of the airline.
