Mastercard, the global financial services company, plans to create 1,500 new jobs in Dublin, expanding its workforce in Ireland to over 2,000. The new jobs will be in software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain and data. The company has already started the recruitment process.
Mastercard is expanding its operation in Ireland and has opened its new Technology Hub for Europe, based in Leopardstown, Dublin. The jobs expansion is being supported by IDA Ireland.
Mastercard first established operations in Ireland in 2008, employing 36 people at this time. It has since increased its workforce in Ireland to over 650.
