Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The new call center, provided with state-of-the-art IT equipment, offers services to private users of Hrvatski Telekom (HT) fixed-line and mobile phone networks. The company employs around 500 people in Osijek, 400 of whom are working in call centres. In 2020, 116 new employees will be hired, and around 100 of them in the new call center.
The company is investing in this part of Croatia, as a part of a 5G Osijek city project. HT is building infrastructure and making numerous other investments, which should provide new employment possibilities. The company's long-term strategic purpose is to secure connections, Interne access and equal opportunities in all parts of Croatia.
