Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Telecom company Celeste, which is specialised in providing Internet access for businesses, has announced the recruitment of around ten employees per month for 2020, for a total of 120 employees recruited by the end of the year.
Celeste currently employs 280 people. The company doubled in size in 2019 following several takeovers and expects annual growth of at least 30% over the next two to three years. Celeste had a turnover of €58 million for 2019 and 8,500 professional customers. Its employees are spread over its 5 sites in Marne-La-Vallée (Seine-et-Marne), Noyon (Oise), Archamp (Haute-Savoie), Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) and Albi (Tarn).
