Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The start-up Shippeo has announced the recruitment of 150 employees within three years to support its development. Shippeo has developed a platform for retailers and manufacturers to improve the visibility of their supply chain. The company has just finalised a new €20 million fundraising campaign and is present in 40 countries. With these funds, it hopes to develop its international implementation, invest in R&D (AI and automation) and recruit 150 people. It currently employs 80 people.
Shippeo has already opened offices in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan, and generates 75% of its turnover abroad. The funds raised will be used to strengthen the sales offices in Spain and the United Kingdom, with the aim of becoming the European leader in its sector.
