April's subsidiary, April Mon Assurance (AMA), announced 203 job cuts as part of a reorganisation of its business resulting in the closure of its physical direct distribution of insurance products in France. Direct distribution would be maintained in the overseas department and territories. According to management sources, this activity has been loss-making for several years. The 203 job cuts could be reduced to 180 as a result of reclassification opportunities within the group.
