Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The FCA group announced a reorganisation involving 320 voluntary departures from its Turin factories by the end of 2020. The departures will be implemented through a mobility procedure linked to the unemployment benefit system Naspi.
The voluntary departures will take place on a voluntary basis and within the framework of an agreement signed with the trade union organisations Fim, Uilm, Fismic, Uglm and Aqcfr.
According to the indications given by the unions, the procedure will involve 320 workers (250 blue-collars and 70 white-collars) employed in different plants (Mirafiori, Agap Maserati Grugliasco, Mirafiori Powertrain Plant (mechanics), Mirafiori presses, Mold construction, Experimental constructions, Mopar parts & services operations and central structures in the Turin area).
