Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Sabena Technics, a specialist in civil and military aeronautical maintenance, has announced to recruit 150 employees in 2020. Half of the new positions will be based at a new 10,000 square metres hangar at the Bordeaux-Mérignac site, which already employs 1,000 employees. At a time when air traffic is increasing, it is a question of anticipating maintenance capacities in Europe. Sabena Technics' stated objective for this new building is to increase production by 200,000 hours per year. The company intends to pursue its growth strategy and is expected to recruit 150 people in 2020 across France. A restructuring took place in 2012 (149 job cuts) and a recruitment of 250 workers in 2019.
