Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish furniture company Agata Meble has announced that it will create about 100 jobs at its new retail store in Toruń, Poland. The unit will open in the third quarter of 2020.
Agata Meble, formerly known as Bytomskie Fabryki Mebli, a state-owned furniture company which was founded in 1952, is now a private distributor of furniture and interior design accessories. Currently, the company has 29 stores across the country offering products from more than 250 different manufacturers from Poland and abroad.
In the last few months, the company experienced a broad business expansion - in November 2019 100 jobs were created in Kielce and in January 2020 100 jobs created in Włocławek.
