The food distribution cooperative 'Coop Atlantique', based in Saintes (Charente-Maritime) has announced an employment safeguard plan with 142 job cuts in two logistic sites. The warehouses at Condat-sur-Vienne (Haute-Vienne), near Limoges, are due to close permanently: 58 jobs will be lost. The group will also close its Saintes warehouse and cut 84 jobs.
Coop Atlantique aims to reorganise its logistic operations to save 192 stores. In January 2018, Coop Atlantique had already closed a site at Ingrandes in the Vienne department and cut 92 jobs as part of a plan to reorganise its logistics.
