The Polish clothing producer Warmia closed down its operations at its production facility in Kętrzyn in December 2019. As a result, 140 employees lost their jobs. The source reports that redundant employees will receive severance pay, depending on their seniority. Warmia revealed the decision was taken due to economic reasons.
Warmia has been operating since 1959. The company was founded as a state-owned enterprise and it was privatised in 2013. Warmia was a partner of many global fashion brands, including Hugo Boss and Dressler.
