Madeta, the largest Czech dairy company, is to hire between 100 to 150 new employees at a new cheese factory which is being built in the city of Planá nad Lužnicí. The new cheese factory with an investment of CZK 750 million (€29.6 million as at 11 January 2020) should be in trial operation from October 2020. The production capacity will be 42 tons of cheese per day with loaf cheeses being mainly produced.
Madeta employs a total of 1,500 people in four production plants and processes 950 thousand litres of milk a day. The firm exports one-fifth of its production, especially to countries in the Middle East, such as Lebanon or the United Arab Emirates.
