Description

The Cornwall Food Foundation, the charity which owns and runs the restaurant 'Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall' in Newquay, in South West England, announced the closure of its site, which will make 100 people redundant. The closure affects 70 restaurant workers and 30 employees in the charity's administration.

In their statement, the charity said that they had taken the necessary steps towards liquidating of the foundation and the restaurant following an independent financial review.

The restaurant was founded in 2006 to train disadvantaged and unemployed workers as chefs and used Jamie Oliver’s name under a licence agreement. The closure is unrelated to the financial problems and collapse of Oliver’s restaurant group in spring 2019.
