Description
The German car supplier Bosch will cut more than 600 positions at the engine-manufacturing plants in Reutlingen, Ansbach (Bavaria) and in Salzgitter (Lower Saxony). The job cuts are motivated by decreasing orders of engines with internal combustion and transition to new electric technology. The Reutlingen plant will suffer alone 500 of the redundancies. In December 2019, the company's management informed that the workforce will be reduced by natural fluctuation and early retirement.
Currently, the employees are protesting and the works council is negotiating with the management.
