Financière des Paiements Électroniques (FPE), a new bank which has created the 'Compte Nickel' brand, announced that it will hire 400 people. Now owned by the BNP Paribas banking group, FPE is launching its international operations in Spain next spring, followed by six other countries. This expansion plan provides for the recruitment of 100 people in France each year for four years. The bank currently employs 350 people.
The Nickel Account allows to open a bank account directly at a tobacconist shop, in real time, with a simple ID and a mobile phone number. The company targets are the 4 million accounts which will be opened in France by 2024 compared to 1.5 million opened to date.
