Aircraft components manufacturing company Stelia Aerospace announced its plans to invest €40 million in its plant located in Santo Tirso. The business expansion is planned to be responsible for the assembly of aircraft components, thus resulting in the creation of 240 job positions. Among the latter, 30 positions are expected to recruit highly qualified employees. The company plans to export these components to other plants in Meaulte and Rochefort (France). The company supplies aerostructure components to Northrop‑Grumman, opperating in the defence sector.
A subsidiary of Airbus, the company has a workforce of 7,000 employees: 4,500 in France and 2,500 in North America, Tunisia and Morocco.
