Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ships building company Crist announced its plans to create between 300 and 500 additional new job positions over the next few years at the shipyard in Gdańsk. The company estimates that its profitability will amount somewhere between €100 million and €120 million with current and future contracts, thus building a portfolio that ensures stable work for the company over the next five years. In addition to this, the company plans to invest PLN 80 million (€18.63 million) in the modernisation of the shipyard with new machinery, automation and robotization of its production facilities in Gdynia and Gdansk.
