Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ariete Logistics, a warehouse operator, opened a new warehouse base of 5,000 square metres in October 2019, creating 400 new jobs, in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. The job profiles sought are for logistics specialists, but no concrete recruitment plan has been announced yet.
Last year the company purchased 82,000 square metres in Pazardzhik for business expansion over a 3-phase investment period. In the second and third phase, the company plans to construct further 42,000 square metres and hire an additional 600 new workers, to reach a total number of 1,000 employees in the plant. The company has other 4,000 square metres warehousing facilities near Smolyan.
Ariete Logistics Bulgaria is part of the international Ariete Group and has been operating in Bulgaria for 6 years.
