Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish-capital telecommunications company Tele2 is to create around 70 new jobs in Vilnius and Kaunas in 2020. The company is planning to open a new contact centre that will serve the company’s customers directly through telephone and e-channels. Until now, private Tele2 customers were served by the company Transcom Worldwide Vilnius. According to the management, the new Tele2 contact centre will operate in Vilnius and Kaunas. The centre is expected to employ 100 employees, of which 70 will be newly recruited. The company has already started recruitment of new employees. Currently Tele2 employs around 615 employees in Lithuania.
Tele2 is a major telecommunications operator in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Tele2 operates in Sweden, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia and Germany.
