Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Tobacco manufacturing company Japan Tobacco International inaugurated its new global business services centre in Warsaw. The business expansion is expected to create 850 new job positions in the following three years. The positions include roles for economists, finance, marketing, sales and HR specialists. The company has launched a campaign for recruitment on social media and billboards to showcase career opportunities for prospective employees.
The company is a tobacco manufacturing company with operations in more than 120 countries, with a global workforce of over 40,000 employees. In Poland, it owns four production facilities located close to Łódź with a current workforce of around 2,300 people.
