During the presentation of the 2019-2013 industrial plan, the bank Carige announced its intention to cut 800 jobs by the end of 2023 and to close 100 branches. The planned job reduction will take place through voluntary exits which will be negotiated with the trade unions.
The new 800 redundancies will add up to the 450 already negotiated during the previous years (the last 300 will take place by the end of November 2019).
Currently, the company employs 4,090 workers in Italy, but will be reduced to 2,840 by the end of 2023.
