Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Kesko Senukai, retail chain of house building, home repairing and improvement stores is going to open a new store K Senukai at the Ozols shopping centre in Riga. The company informed that it has managed to hire a team of 200 employees in 3 month.
The new store needed 110 employees in sales and customer service, 35 in warehouse, 40 in service and sales, and 15 positions in management positions.
K Senukai Ozols is to be opened by the end of 2019. The store will occupy 20,000 m2 space and €6 miliion were invested.
Kesko Senukai Latvia, a daughter company of Lithuanian Kesko Senukai, operates nine stores in Latvia. In 2018 it had a turnover of €90,623 million and a profit of €1.474 million. In 2018, the total number of employees in Latvia was 559.
