Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Hofica group, specialised in the manufacture of luxury leather goods, has announced the opening of a new workshop in Doué-en-Anjou (Maine-et-Loire), called 'Atelier Douessin', which will employ 200 people. A relay building will accommodate a first group of employees in training at the beginning of 2020. 'In the long term, more than 200 employees will exercise their know-how within the Atelier Douessin', the company explains. The Hofica group has several sites in Maine-et-Loire and has a company based in Mayenne. It currently has 630 employees.
