Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Wood sticks for food manufacturing company Smart Wood Romania announced plans to expand its business with the opening of a new plant in Onești, Bacau County. The company invested €8 million in the construction of the new plant and will create 100 jobs by 2022.
Smart Wood Romania was accepted to receive a €3.15 million state aid for the expansion of its production capacity, according to data provided by the Ministry of Finance.
The company has another plant in Timişoara, established in 2007 with a workforce of 196 employees.
