Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Cyber-security company Contrast Security announced its plans to set up a development and delivery centre in Belfast. The centre is planned to focus on keeping software safe from cyber-attacks. The business expansion is expected to result in the creation of 120 new job positions, which are going to be reportedly remunerated with an average salary of more than GBP 30,000 (€33,650). There is no information yet as to when the jobs are planned to be filled.
Local development agency Invest NI supports the expansion with a grant of just over GBP 750,000 (€841,400).
