Description
Car components manufacturing company MAT Foundries Europe is expected to close one of its three production lines by the beginning of 2020, according to the mayor of Ückermünde. The decision derives from the poor integration of the line with the production process, determining as well complaints with respect to noise and dust. The shutdown of the line is expected to affect 120 agency employees, mainly foreign-born from other EU Member States.
The foundry in Ückermünde produces iron products, like safety castings for passenger and commercial vehicle industries.
