Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Orthopaedic implants design and manufacturing company Orthoplastics announced its plans to open a new site in Rossendale, Lancashire. The business expansion is expected to result in the creation of 100 new job positions from February 2020. The site is planned to become a centre of excellence for the company and it will help to drive forward the global growth plans of the company. According to the management, there is huge potential for innovation and growth within the orthopaedic sector by means of innovating technologies and materials to increase the lifespan of implants.
