Electronic systems, sensors and controls manufacturing company Marquardt announced a business expansion for its research and development centre in Sibiu. The decision is expected to create 100 new job positions by the end of 2019. The roles include engineers and experts in innovative mechatronics, which can support the growth and the advancement of the company's innovative capacities.
The research and development centre in Sibiu was established in 2008 and currently has a workforce of 210. The group's Romanian subsidiary Marquardt Schaltsysteme SCS has been operating in Sibiu since 2006 with a local total workforce of 2,800 employees and two sites.
