Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Salvus, Croatian pharmaceuticals and medical products company, announced the creation of 145 new jobs. The company has reported that it has invested over HRK 50million (€6.73 million) in its new head centre in Donja Stubica, not far from the Capital of Zagreb. The construction and equipping of the centre have been co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development.
With this investment and business expansion, Salvus wants to strengthen its efficiency and increase its competitiveness on both the domestic and foreign markets. The company already operates across six markets in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo. Salvus's aim is to connect pharmaceuticals' local tradition with modern technology and scientific advances. The company plans to start production of its own portfolio of products to enter the global market.
