Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
DACO-CZ, a leading manufacturer of pneumatic, electromechanical and hydraulic brake systems for railway rolling stock, has launched the production of wagons in the city of Louny where it plans to recruit 100 new employees by the end of 2019. The production takes place on the premises of the Heavy Machinery Services (HMS) group that went bankrupt in June 2019. By the end of the year, DACO-CZ plans to have more than 100 rail vehicles manufactured and developed for customers from Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland.
DAKO-CZ currently employs some 70 people at the Louny site working on repairs of wagons. According to the company, the demand for repair and maintenance of rail wagons is high.
