Description
Domestic buildings construction company Porr announced the presence of more than 300 vacant positions in Austria. Even though there is a high demand in the construction industry, the company faces difficulties in the recruitment of skilled staff. According to the company, changing labour market structures in Eastern Europe can explain the labour shortages. As a result, the company is reportedly fighting the reduced attractiveness for labour supply with the offer of additional benefits, like subsidised housing, education and training.
Overall, the company currently employees more than 19,000 people, approximately 9,800 in Austria.
