Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin announced the creation of 130 job positions at its new store in Rzeszów. With an area of 10,000 square metres, the store is expected to finish its construction phase in the second half of 2019. The company offers prospective employees a wide range of educational, social and financial benefits, like results-based financial bonuses, shares in the company's profit, professional training, development programmes, smartphone, life insurance, private health insurance, housing and social benefits funds.
Operating since 1994, the company runs 64 stores employing over 10,000 people across the country, as of February 2019. Three job creation events were announced in 2019: 160 new jobs (February), 160 new jobs (March) and 130 new jobs (July).
