Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Social Security Scotland announced the creation of 100 new jobs as the new agency prepares to deliver seven newly devolved benefits. The jobs will be located in Glasgow, even though the agency is planning to have a head office also in Dundee. The positions created include client advisers, team leaders and management roles. Once it becomes fully operational, the agency is eventually expected to employ more than 1,900 people. There is no information yet as to when the new jobs will be filled, but the recruitment process is planned to begin on 13 August 2019.
