Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin has announced that it will create 130 jobs at its new store in Kołbaskowo near Szczecin. The construction of the store, with an area of 10,000 square metres, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
Leroy Merlin has been operating in Poland since 1994; as of February 2019, the company runs 64 stores employing over 10,000 people across the country. In 2018, the company announced three business expansions programmes: in April (120 new jobs), May (100 new jobs) and November (150 new jobs). In 2019, two job creations events were announced: in February (160 new jobs) and March (160 new jobs).
