The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Telekom Romania, the Romanian affiliate of Deutsche Telekom, has announced plans to cut 692 jobs by the end of 2019. The company aims to accelerate the process of digitalisation and to redesign its internal processes in order to support the integration of new technologies in the next three years.
According to a spokesperson for the company ‘as part of the restructuring process, Telekom Romania maintains that it will apply social protection measures in line with existing legislation’. The unions did not react to the announcement.
Telekom Romania has a workforce of 4,404 employees.
