Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
American drug wholesale company AmerisourceBergen is to create 200 new jobs in Vilnius by the end of 2025. The company will set up a new office in Vilnius at the beginning of 2020 and will recruit around 200 employees over the next five years. The company’s investment in the new office in Vilnius will total €30 millions. The new office will be engaged in a wide range of functions, including finance, treasury and accounting, customer care and other support services.
A logistics company World Courier which is a subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen is already operating in Lithuania; it employs 20 employees in Vilnius.
AmerisourceBergen provides pharmaceutical products, value-driving services and business solutions that improve access to care. It is one of the largest companies in the world with more than $160 billion in annual revenue.
