Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The battery manufacturer Clarios (formerly known as Johnson Controls Power Solutions) has opened a new distribution center in Plazy near the city of Mladá Boleslav, where over 120 people are employed. The company will use 22,100 square meters of warehouse and 1,300 square meters of office space as a new hub for the growing market in Eastern Europe.
The strategic proximity of the distribution center to the Clarios production plant in Česká Lípa is intended to enable the company to cope with the increasing demand for energy storage systems in the future. The distribution center has long-term contracts with several suppliers. Over the next five years, investment of €35 million is planned for its development.
