Description
US e-commerce and cloud computing company Amazon announced the creation of 600 new permanent jobs in Spain during 2019. The expansion constitutes a growth in the workforce of 12.5% and comes after the creation of 3,200 new permanent jobs in the country during 2018.
The company is looking for different job profiles. The positions include engineers, software developers, data scientists, experts in machine learning and cloud computing. A part of these new employees is expected to work in the software development centre of Madrid for the team that develops technologies for Kindle.
The expansion in Spain occurs while the company maintains a labour dispute with the employees of its logistic centre in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid), caused by the unilateral change in employment conditions.
