Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The global publishing group Agora Companies is hiring 135 people in Co Waterford. The new roles are in digital publishing, technical and customer support and software development. Agora already employs 270 in Waterford and Portlaw. The jobs expansion is supported by IDA Ireland. Agora produces financial, health and lifestyle publications, in print and online. The founder commented that the group's commitment to Ireland's southeast which has become a strategic location for many multinational companies. The company has been based in Waterford for 20 years.
