The German manufacturer of appliances will cease the production of stainless-steel pots in Geislingen, which will result in the loss of 150 employees by the end of 2020. The job reduction is part of a larger restructuring programme, with the purpose to save €60 million in the next two and a half years and will result in the loss of about 400 jobs worldwide. According to management, the production of stainless-steel pots will be relocated to other production sites in Europe. Further information on the job reduction has yet to be published.
Currently, WMF has 6,200 employees worldwide.
