The French pharmaceutical manufacturer Sanofi confirmed that it will be cutting 144 jobs at its site in Frankfurt-Höchst as part of the restructuring programme ‘Horizon 2020’. However, the company denied reports claiming that the job reduction will mainly affect the company’s diabetes research division. According to management, the job reduction will affect the entire plant in Frankfurt-Höchst with a maximum of 38 jobs in the diabetes research division affected. The company intends to emphasise on other ongoing projects.
Currently, Sanofi has 8,000 employees in Frankfurt-Höchst.
