Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Danish producer of kitchens, TCM Group, will hire 30 new employees during spring 2019 due to more orders, especially regarding the Svane Kitchen, the manager said to the local paper 'Dagbladet Holstebro-Struer'. This is an expandion which represents more than 10% of current staff. TCM also expanded its workforce last year, so that today there are 278 employees in production and 90 salaried employees at the headquarters in Tvis. According to the CEO, TCM Group expects a net turnover between 960 – 1,000 million DKK in 2019 (€128 – 133 million) corresponding to an expected organic growth of 7 – 11%.
