Musgrave NI, the retailer group which trades under the Centra, SuperValu, MACE and MarketPlace brands has announced plans to create around 500 new jobs across Northern Ireland. The company is investing GBP 28 million (€31.25 million) which will see up to 20 new stores open and around 40 of the retailer's existing stores updated. The announcement follows strong trading figures for 2018, which have encouraged the company to invest and to try to take a greater sector of the convenience market. The plans have not revealed where the new jobs will be created, nor the precise timetable. Currently, the company employs around 5,000 people in Northern Ireland.
