Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The firm Intermetal is building a new factory for the production of parts for the auto industry at a location in Babiba Greda village. A production hall of 5,500 square meters will be completed by the end of September 2019 and the plant will be opened in early 2020. The new factory will employ 100 workers. Workers will undergo quality training.
Babina Greda will therefore become a significant metal centre in Croatia. The mayor stated that regular jobs and good salaries will improve living conditions for workers' families in this relatively underdeveloped part of Croatia. It will also project a positive image of Babina Greda as a place for possible investment. Babina Greda has an excellent geostrategic position and it is located directly on the A3 motorway, which runs from the Slovenian to the Serbian border.
