The AMBER research initiative, run by Science Foundation Ireland - the State's primary science and research organisation, is creating 350 research jobs over the next six years. The research and jobs expansion are enabled through €40 million in funding to 2025, through SFI’s research centre programme, as well as €77 million in cash and in-kind contributions. AMBER is located in Trinity College Dublin and already employs 1,100 people. The associated research is tasked with developing new sustainable products and technologies for society and solutions for industry, particularly current gaps in knowledge and drive advances in materials science and engineering.
