Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Accountancy firm PwC has announced plans to create 500 new jobs across the UK. The move is part of a plan to split its assurance practice into two divisions audit and risk assurance practice. The new jobs will be spread across the company's 25 UK offices, though there is no indication at this point when the new jobs are expected to be filled. The company has also announced that it will be increasing the amount it spends on technology and training of staff to an annual budget of GBP 30 million (€33.58 million).
