Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
NGK Ceramics Polska, the subsidiary of the Japanese producer of ceramic filters for diesel engines NGK Insulators, has announced that it will create 400 job vacancies at its new production facility in Gliwice. The factory will produce modern exhaust control valves for diesel engines. The company is one of the most prominent manufacturers of automotive ceramic filters.
NGK Ceramics has been operating in Poland since 2003. The company has three factories in Gliwice and two in Dąbrowa Górnicza, all located in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, Poland. Currently, the company employs 4,000 people in Poland.
