Logistics company DHL has announced that it will cut 159 jobs as a result of contractual changes with its major client Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). The jobs are based at JLR plants around the midlands and merseyside and will be lost following major restructuring at JLR. According to reports, 135 jobs are based in line-feed production and 24 jobs in UK freight. A consultation period with employees and their representatives will follow, with the precise timeframe for the job cuts to be confirmed through the consultative process.
In February 2019, the company expanded its warehousing business by creating 450 jobs.
