Description
Gas distribution company Cadent Gas has announced plans to cut around 400 jobs across the business. The company has major sites in the midlands at Hinckley, Coventry and Leicester. Voluntary redundancy packages are being offered to certain staff, though graduate employees, those with less than two years' service and maintenance workers are not being offered this option. It is being reported that the firm expects to achieve the job reduction measures by voluntary means and that compulsory redundancies will not be necessary. The company has launched a one-month consultation on the job losses.
